Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

For me w family and friends works like this. They start talking about a new ailment they are experiencing...if they ask is it like this for you? If it's close enough I say yeah and I have to deal w it changing in an hourly fashion.
If it's not close I just share empathy for what they are experiencing and if I can help in some small way.
When it passes for them, and they are like get do you want to (blank), I say can't, my flare is still acting up.
It works for me because after dealing w my chronic pain for so long, and they see my trying they forget that it's chronic.
Keep up the fight.
I'm sorry to hear you're having a flare. :( Sometimes I feel like every day with baseline pain takes energy out of my "account", and then when I deal with flares I'm going into a huge energy/patience debt. It is hard not to give up, because constant pain can impact your thoughts and make it so hard to look forward to the future-- like being stuck in a hole and you need something to lift you out so you can look around and see the world again.
Hopefully you can find some support here, and some things in your life to help you work through the flare. Warm thoughts xxx
Sending support & hugs <3
