ok, I have a new kitty( 8 wks) and he kept trying to put his paw behind our cabinet, he would NOT leave that spot, so I thought Id check out what he was so interested in, well this mouselike face poked his head out! I screamed. Called my hubby, asked him what to do, so I set a trap, turned out the light, he came out right away, I screamed, he went back, I thought I can do do this, so I set the trap and went out to my " soaping" cottage. I came back and he was flopping around in the trap, yuck, so I took a shovel and scooped him up and threw him outside, the dog was batting him around( still attached to the trap) and then he got loose. Yuck, that was my excitment for the night.
I had mice so bad one time I had this little one come right up to me on my computer desk. He was so cute I couldn't stand it. I dropped him in an empty trash can with a little dog food and the next morning I looked in and there were about 20 more in there with him. I'm in the country with fields all around me and these fields just got harvested so the mice race was on! Any ways I left these mice there 2 more days with a small bowl of water there was probably close to 40 mice then. I took all of them to an abandoned house and dropped them all off there. I could not kill them.
But then the poison came out. I have never had this problem again. It dehydrates them out so they don't stink but for a day of two if at all.
Yeah poison maybe, but what if they die and you cant find them?Mice I can handle, but that thing was ugly!
