I posted about this in the anxiety group, but as I now think it's from the Savella, I wanted to get your guys' opinion. I started Savella on Tuesday. I am going up slower than the sample pack said as I was told the side effects can be bad. I am currently taking 12.5 mg in the morning. Well, since probably Tuesday I have had crippling anxiety. My mind keeps cycling in this hell where I think I'm not breathing. I mean I intellectually know I am breathing cus I'm not dead nor passed out, but I don't feel like I'm getting oxygen. My head even starts hurting worse which in my mind reinforces that I'm not breathing.
My psychiatrist finally called me back and told me to restart my Klonopin to try and help the anxiety. As it didn't really help with it before, I am not sure it'd work now. Have any of you used Savella for fibromyalgia before? Lyrica and Cymbalta never helped relieve my pain, but as Savella is a bit different, I am hoping it helps relieve some of my pain. This anxiety is getting really hard to deal with though. Have you all found anything that helps relieve your anxiety? Has Savella worked for any of you? Thank you guys very much, I feel kind of lost and overwhelmed right now.

If you continue to have to use klonipin to control the anxety from the Savella, you may have to ask yourself if it's worth it. I take klonipin in order to take Exalgo and dilaudid because that's the onlyt thing that helps my pain. If the Savella really helps then I think it would be worth it to be on both, If it doesn't really help you, then you can decide whether or not to wean it off (with your dr of course).
Sorry I couldn't give you a more definite answer. I really hope the Savella helps.
