Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I would have panicked. Glad you kept a cool head and got through it.

Allergies can come on at different times in our life. I was able to use pennicillin as a child but as an adult I ended up in the ER. It is very scary when the throat starts to swell.
Might get tested for new allergies or give up fish.So sorry this happened but glad your hubby was quick with the benadryl. Take care. Hugs -RJ
serenity,
I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your friend. That must have been so difficult, especially considering the circumstances.
I have never really had to deal with any allergies until I became allergic to shellfish, and only thought it was limited to shellfish too, until yesterday.
After yesterday's incident, I felt ill and also acquired a really bad headache, and still feel ill today. Not sure if it is related, but will need to lay down again here in a minute.
RJ, you are so right about allergies just hitting at any age. I just wish I hadn't developed an allergy to my favorite food! lol
Hope you all have a blessed day!
Hugs,
Carrie
That must have been so scary!
It's wierd how allergies pop up after years with no reaction.
You really should get an epi-pen and keep it on hand. It was smart to take those benadryls, I'm sure they helped a lot.
I would think that if you haven't had a problem with tuna, it would be ok to eat. But on the other hand, the salmon reaction may have triggered a total fish allergy, which would be a bummer. I love fish too, and it's a big part of my diet. It's wise to wait to see your doc before eating more tuna.
I hope it doesn't progress to a whole fish allergy!
