I haven't been around much in past months as I've been crazy busy with my son out of school for the summer, kidney stone problems, and work, but I'm undergoing some weird symptoms with my RSD.
I've had it since 1997 in my left foot and leg. It hasn't ever gone above my calves and usually stays below my ankle. Living in the Midwest, I am usually going through Hell in the Winter. I'm used to that. But suddenly I'm noticing knee pain (both legs so I doubt it's RSD) and severe pain in the RSD foot on days it rains or storms. I'm used to being at a low pain level bc I take my meds on time and as I've aged, I've learned that resting is NOT a joke.
I had similar problems with these new symptoms when we took our son to Orlando, and whenever work sends me to Cancun. I'm leaving this week for Cancun and am worried about the increase in pain. I've added tylenol to my regimen (as allowed by my doctor) but any intake of ibuprofen upsets my stomach. (That's new, too.)
I know not everyone here has RSD but am I going crazy? I swear I can tell you hours before it is going to storm by the pain in my knees and the increase in sweat and pain in my RSD foot. It's SO strange!
Anyone else get this? If so, how do you handle it? The hot weather lasts through October up here many years, so I'm kind of stuck. I'm also using a cane again, which drives me crazy b/c I HATE seeming weak. (It's a character flaw.) In addition, using the came makes my lower back spasm, so I'm kind of damned if I do and if I don't.

I am also very sensitive to weather changes. I can always feel the barometric pressure change.

Bill- I was afraid it might be the start of arthritis. Hopefully it's just a small bit and it goes away. Between the multiple kidney stones and the RSD, I have so much to deal with. But it sure sounds like arthritis.
Today was a bit better, but I leave soon for Cancun so that humidity should give me a clue. I sure hope it's nothing serious. I've always felt the weather changes but never this bad!
Adonia, I have the opposite, all the hair is gone on my legs except along the shin bone, looks like a Mohawk, I guess it is the neuropathy pattern of the small fiber nerves that cause it, or maybe the blood flow...
All in all, humid hot weather, is hard on all of us...
