Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Hope my mom doesn't see it again.
Thanks, thaliajen......hugs.....jc..
Please explian to me why it is OK for these addicts to be on TV proving they are criminals without being arrested for the harm they are doing?????????
So now those clinics in Florida are closed, and they have a state-wide rx narcotic tracking system--which they strangely didn't have before. And the true pain patients are paying the price. '
My PM doc says he feels a "little bit" pressured, which is why he does a urine drug screen for each patient each visit. And he keeps in very close touch with each patient's referring MD. And he's the one who suggests increases to me without my asking.
I am extremely lucky. For how long, I don't know.
Hugs,
Theresa
These are all bad signs to me.
Oh, and they still make pill runs to Florida. The clinics might be closed but they're still getting them down there. I have personally encountered people as recently as Christmas who bragged about going down there to get pills so that they could sell them and get their kids Christmas presents.
Methadone clinics are also popular in my state for the people who are trying to recover.
But yet my brother can go to one of those "pill farms" and get bottles full of roxicet and 2mg xanax bars. Whatever he wants. He would rather pay all of that money for his pills than get health ins for his kids. He also sells his pills when he is running out of money and to make ends meet.
Alot of the places down here are getting more strict in treating people. My pain doc is nice, but very strict. When the hospital put me on different meds, he just about had a hissy fit, when I called to tell them I was out of the hospital. So I had to schedule a sooner appt just to go over what I am on now. Honestly I am glad he is strict, but at the same time, I am the one that is suffering. I don't get the pain care that I NEED becaue of the addicts.
Also you should see the number of addicts coming out of rehab now and how young they are. It is insane.
I will check to see if I have that channel as I would like to watch the documentary. It would be interesting to watch. It just sucks that we CPers have to suffer becuase of all of the addicts and bad docs that just dole out pain meds like they are candy.
they like to stir up the pot while, like you said jenna, the druggies and celebrities know how, when, where. they aren't really providing a service, but making people paranoid and misguided.
