Almost 2 months ago, I had RFA (Radio Frequency Ablation) done on my neck. When I left the doctor's office after having the procedure done, I was in excruciating pain. I didn't know what had happened, until two weeks later when I called the doctor's office and told them that I had a severe burning sensation on my skin on the back of my neck and on my shoulder, and they told me it is Neuritis.

They had me take steroids for five days or so, but I still have this Neuritis. It seems to be decreasing (little by little), but here I am with it still after two months. The normal way of handling it, is to go back in and have the doctor do an injection with stuff to calm down the nerves. When the doctor has done these types of injections, before the RFA, it hurts really bad for about 3 days.

I'm curious if anyone has had any experience with this, if they had Neuritis and it went away, how long did it take to go away on its own? Or if you went in for an injection, did it work, or did the Neuritis continue?

I've looked on forums and found that some guy posted that it's been 3 months and he still has it. Of course, I've had to change insurance companies, so it makes it more difficult to go have this done at a new doctor. UGH Any information or advice is sooooo appreciated.
