Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Xoxo MLC.
I hope this works out for you and nothing serious happens.

I really hate gabapentin. I take only a small dose (400 mg) because at higher does I had muscle twitching, which I beelieve was caused by it. Who knows, for sure? Are you getting either twitching or dry mouth?
This stuff is being handed out like candy, these days. I guess it helps some people. Not me, well, at least not very much.
Hugs, Dixie
When on Gabapentin my feet and legs became horrible swollen. The doctor thought I might have PADS because I smoke and ordered a test for that. That was negative, and after several more tests it was found that it was the gabapentin causing it. I got severe pitting adema from it (that never has gone away- now two years since taking it..)and damaged nerves from the severe swelling. Rsd moved from my left hand into my feet. I have permanent damage in my feet now from taking it. Sure wish I had paid better attention and stopped taking it when the swelling first happened!
I would definatly call either your doctor or the ER like others have suggested.
Good Luck
I have side effects, used lycria but it made me have so many side effects had to stop.
I have had some side effects on gabpention but it heaps with pain so its worth it.
No more for me.
Thanks again!

I drink a gallon of water a day and I'm still dry. I've mentioned these things to my doc, but she doesn't even liste to me, anymore.
It's gotten where I don't know what's a symptom and what's a side effect!
Thanks everyone
dry mouth is a side effect unrelated to the amount of water that you consume. The only that seems to work for me is to always have a water bottle near by to keep those mucus membranes moist. Be careful of the teeth. Dry mouth at night can allow tooth rot. Rinsing with a floride rinse before bed will help protect the enamel at night.
