After only 2 days of physical and aqua therapy and I am beat up. Tell me if this is unusual. I have regular PT first for a while then I go to the pool for my aqua therapy. Should it be one or the other? The other day I was so sore from regular PT that when I got in the pool the "waves" from the others in the pool were making me unsteady on my feet and hurting me more. All day yesterday my left hip and leg were killing me. Should I be doing both?

Can you alternate-- i know physical therapy is challenging getting into a hot tub would make sense is it a warm pool we have those here for chronic pain support--- exercising in warm pool is much easier ((hugs)( polar

It is not a good idea to do too much the same day you have PT. Especially in the beginning.

Did your doctor order both ? Talk to your physical therapist

M, however he did not indicate if they should be done on the same day.y doctor did prescribe both regular PT and aqua therapy. I don't drive so she has to take me. I don't see how I would be able to have them on different days.

Does your area have Para Transit? It is low cost public transportation. It is for those that are not able to take regular public transportation due to disabilities. Your doctor will have to fill out a form. The form explains why you are not able to take other forms of public transportation. Put para transit transportation, your city, your state in Google.

I know you do not have Medicaid. But, for those that do. Transportation to and from medical appointments is a Mandatory Federal Benefit.

Some areas have organizations that can help with transportation for the disabled and elderly. You can also contact a social worker at the hospital your doctor is affiliated with. They should know about resources in your area.

You also need to talk to your doctor. Explain the situation. Ask him if he knows of any service that might be of help. I assume your wife works.

my wife works crazy hours. Some days and some nights. They don't line up very well with when the aqua therapy is available. I am on medicare because of my disability. I will look into those transportation options. Thanks.
