If your Breakthru meds are a part of your daily medication regimen, they're no long Breakthru meds and have become part of your longterm pain management meds. Breakthru meds should only be taken when absolutely necessary....once they become part of a daily med regimen you need to talk to your Doc about adjusting your longterm meds, because you really no longer have a breakthru med.
try to make sure your spacing out you correctly and on time to stay ahead of the pain

Unfortunately many CP patients don't think about it....the meds are RX'd and the Docs don't always explain that they're not meant to be taken on a daily basis....just one of those things they think you should know.
Any med that you take on a daily basis is part of your daily longterm medication regimin and is not considered PRN or breakthru.
Definitely talk to your Dr. because adjusting your longterm med plan can make a big difference sometimes.
Take care my friend,
