lyrica is a bad one for many, i am on 150mg 3 times a day, sometimes 4,
plus hydromorphone, so, i am going to wean myself off of the lyrica.
plus, lyrica usually needs a break through pain drug, do u take one?

yep sure do I use my lidoderm patches and I take oxycodone every 4-6 hours right now because I had a nerve block on monday and am supposed to be on bedrest for a week but i was so stupid today and just went to the gym to float around nothing to strenuous you know but I just should have stayed home it was stupid to go out. I have just decided to do what i can for the class. I am going to see if my dr has my students with disabilities packet done for me to turn in just keep trying in these classes and if i dont get it done hey it isnt a class I need. I just tried it because you can get the degree all online. But just try again next semester and i at least have one more class that does give me a little extra time for classes and she moved me from her face-face to online so im doing pretty good since things are spread out and stuff but i really need to get my pain under control ad my emotions my family was pretty nasty tonight im not even wanting to go home for turkey day but i bought the ticket. so oh well i guess. but im going to rest for an hour and try to type this hw all out again i have it done just need it typed and trust me if i could scan and email i so would.

Also, Check with the school and see about students with diabilities. I can almost gaureentee they have one and it should allow you some lee-way/extensions on your assignments and cut you some slack on your attendence. Good luck!

megan-has your doctor(s) mentioned doing anything more aggressive? i know youre very young but what does your doctor say when it comes to something radical? is that something you are looking into or would consider? what causes the most pain, the PID or the endo? does the doctor consider an hysterectomy to be an option that would greatly reduce your pain?

i think that lyrica is pushed for financial benifit. neurontin has worked 5 times better for me and i have tryed lyrica to seperate times. neurontin will make you a bit drowsey but start off slow and you will adjust. i know it sucks to lag like that.

I tried neurontin and was actually at the highest dosage I could go and it never once helped just made me sleep better. The lyrica helps a lot more, they actually did a horrid test yesterday at the hospital where they put a balloon into your uterus fill it then do a sonogram. holy crap (pardon language) it hurt I almost broke the pillow and i actually did hurt the nurses hand. There is no more sign of endo or PID thank goodness but the PID staph infection can come back so I always have to watch little things now. It is just the neuropathy they are thinking now. my hubby keeps saying get a hysterectomy but like you said im young I dont want to do anything like that yet I hope one day to be something more than an auntie. I did relax for a bit did some reading tried and did a breathing exercise it helped a lot. Im staying on bedrest you need me im here lol. but im doing a little better in no way is it gone and I dropped that class because i dont see the point in it. I need to get with the dr and get my disabilities packet back. I just had four epidural nerve block injections monday. monday was great until the lidocain wore off and it really does drain you the lyrica and the injections so im going to stay here for a bit. I have pelvic neuropathy so basically for me the staph from the PID infected my nerves I get sharp stabbing pains in my uterus, ovaries, tubes, lower back, legs , my feet will turn inwards and i fall, at night mostly i twitch around i havent slept in a while prolly why im so nutty. Thank you guys for being here and helping me I know we are all going through rough times I just wish the pain would end. I pray the nerve block kicks in sooon.

I would like to have another laproscopy just to make sure it is all gone no traces of nothing and have biopsys taken and everything but i went to one of the good gyn's in town here highly recommended here and he said my uterus looked great yesterday but i seriously want someone to go back in and look around I hate neuropathy and just have a feeling that isnt what is causing all of this pain. I swear as we speak my right ovary feels like someone is squishing it im going to sleep i need some bad i think it might help.

Do what you can and let the rest go. Pain is a monster that saps us of strength and energy. If that does not work, try getting a note from your doc to give to your teacher. Hugs. Ilandere.
