( I'm assuming the pinched nerve is thought to be in your neck?)

It's early days, as injuries go.
There's a chance it could still heal naturally if it's from inflammation.
Or.. even if some muscles are pulling your spine a little out of whack.
An MRI will tell more than X-ray

My injury was resolved after 2 months of muscle relaxants, physical therapy and ice. I chose not to get an MRI because i do not have any obvious issues on the xray and i was not willing to have surgery either, unless PT was not effective.
Sometimes PT alone can place things back together and let it heal.
I hope there is nothing seriouslt wrong.
