Hi friends and family!
Im estatic, Ive been living with Chronic Pain over 23 years now. Far to long. Ive done every procedure available! All of them!
I finally came to the end of the line, taking in excess 500Mg oral morphine daily.. My pain managment doctor told me a few months back, he doesnt see me getting off my meds, unless i chose so, but then my enjoyment of living would subside! Today, my life is full of gratidude, doing things I can do, and enjoy! A how new learning process! I even own a FB support group now, just to give back! I still remeber how it was. My mission in life is to be a missionary in Chronic pain!
Well, here's my wonderful news! This last Friday, I did a morhine pump trial. It brought me from a scale of 7, to a one! OMG, what a dream! And that lasted 48 hours!
Now, I am awaiting approval from my insurance to do the premantent implant, I'm for once in a long time excited! Its been a long hard road, but worth it!
1 Mg morphine oral, equels 0.0081 Mg morphine thoughi the pump, and avoids my entire GI tract!
Im so excired, and cant wait!

Just remember to keep the faith and the positive attitude and all will work out. Now that you know there is hope, isn't it such a relief?? This last adjustment of mine, was near perfect. I find myself forgetting to take my breakthrough meds!! lol!! You are going to be amazed at the doors this is going to open for you! And you're right, it is a much safer route for you to receive meds as it is a different method of them getting into your body. You will find that it does not affect you cognitively since it is no longer metabolized through your kidneys and liver. It is processed through your spinal fluid and is cleaner and safer for your body!

The doctor told me that there's a 99% chance the pump will be approved! The Pump is $14k, and I am taking almost $3k of meds monthly today. Just mathmaticly, they are almost sure to aprove it! Jenna, Its been a long time sinse I have been here! How can I add you as a friend? Please feel free to add me if you like, I think I will have many more questions in the future!
