I have been battling some type of pain since the age of 13 when I messed up both of my knees. Over the years, especially the last 3.5 years its gotten worse. The joint pain is through the roof. I had been diagnosed with migraines when I was in high school and they were managed well with OTC meds. About a year ago, after completing cosmetology school, I noticed the pain was never going away or waining. It was just 24/7 pain. This year I finally had to do something about it. I had a cluster headache one day and left work early. A few days later I went to the doctor about my ailments. He subscribed me amitriptyline & imitrex. He also wanted me to get blood work done (found out I have hypothyroidism). This was in mid March.

Eventually I was given thyroid meds, but was taken off due to an allergic reaction to a filler in it. The preventive medication was working, but now it is not working so much. I don't sleep. And when I do, I get these horrible dreams. Not always nightmares, but very vivid every time. My joint pain is worse than ever and my anxiety is coming back. I am at a loss of what to do. It was so bad several weeks ago I took 2 extra amitriptylines one night just so I could semi function at work. I can't keep living like this. My boss thinks I'm just being a baby and don't want to work. I am just so worn out before I even get to work. At least now I don't have an hour commute.
