I had a second Radio Frequency Thermocoagulation this morning. They burned the nerves at four levels in my neck. I had the right side done at the beginning of this month and they did the left side today. I was feeling pretty well until 15 minutes ago. The meds they had given me have worn off and there's a lot of pain now. It fluctuates between a deep/ache and sharp/stabbing. The pain goes from the middle of the back of my neck down my left shoulder. I want to cry right now.

As this is the last thing they can do to try and help my neck, I am seriously considering the spinal cord stimulator. I am going to do more research and compile results to send to my Dad. My Mom seems to understand that this is kind of it. Surgery wouldn't help fix these problems. I can't stand to have this same procedure I had today every year and a half to manage the pain. Especially cus it doesn't help my pain very much and actually flares everything up more for the two months following the date of the procedure.

I can't take heavier duty pain medications. There is a lot of history of addiction in my family and I can't go down that road. All I am taking is Savella and Neurontin. They are losing there effectiveness and it's very depressing. I don't want to hurt like this.
