Monday my hubby got an automated phone call from the VA while he was half asleep. It was a reminder of an apt at 8am. As it was automated, he could not get it to repeat and when he called to verify they would not let him as he is not me. So we got up at 5am today and drove 90 minutes to the VA hospital to find out what the apt was... to find out it was for the 4th at 8am. Sigh. At least I got an early start to my day and got a lot of homework done.

So, we did at least find out what the apt was for - it is my acupuncture I have been waiting for six months now. I have one apt a week for the next 8 weeks - I can't wait!!! Back when I could still work and had insurance to cover things like that, acupuncture was the only treatment that could take me down to a zero on the pain scale. Now that was seven years ago and when I was still more of less functional on OTC pain killers, but I am hopeful it will get me through these last few assignments for college so I can be done with it.

I have to get to bed. 5am comes early.
