Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Our bodies do react differently but it isnt uncommon either.
In any case, bring it up at your next doctor and dentist's visit. An odor can be clincally significant and can be the sign of an infection, reaction to medication, etc. even if all of your labs are normal. Don't be embarassed; this falls under the better safe than sorry rule. Besides, when you get the all clear, now you'll know just to use a little peppermint oil for some fresh breath (after your dentist rules out dental problems too).
I remember reading about the "stale beer" smell and that suggests diabetes, but like I said, I had a blood work up including blood sugar and it came back normal. Also I know that your skin can act sort of like "a third kidney" so to speak to help clean out toxins. I work in a sports bar and grill and I'm told that our "regulars" have a not so pleasant odor coming from them. ( suggesting that the over consumption of alcohol is coming out of their pores ) Which leads me to believe that my "odor" is from being on pain Rx a long time. ( about 1 year or so ) OR, maybe it's from eating WAY too many sweets! LOL!
Having anosmia makes me feel very nervous about possibly smelling bad, so I am a very hygiene conscious person. I'm afraid that this new "odor thing" is going to kick it into OCD mode!!
I will surely bring this up with one of my doctors. Thank you all for your input, I greatly appreciate it!
Stay gold!
