HI all,
Well I had mentioned that I had some severe thigh pain, on top of thigh, and on inner thigh.
Now, I do have spinal stenosis and had double fusion, and decompression 5 yrs ago, and it didn't work for me.
So, a month ago, my thigh felt like my Quad muscle got stretched and pulled, maybe even ruptured. I went to the dr last week. I told her, "I want an MRI of my THIGH". She said, ""It's probably stemming from your back", but she ordered/requested an MRI with insurance.
Come to find out, the MRI is NOT for my thigh, she ordered it of my BACK!!!!!
So, thru phone calls and emails, I said, "I need an MRI to ck out my pelvis, hip, thigh area's. "
She said, "Well let's not order one on your whole body, let's do the back first and see what it shows, then we can do the MRI of the thigh.
UG!!!! I know where my pain is, and I have had the same pain all these years, and now something NEW happens, and they think it's the back.
Now I realize it might be, but right now? I can hardly put any weight on it, and it happened so quickly, and i'm so upset that I can hardly move around with my cane. bEEN HAVING to use my rolling walker with the seat, and it's so frustrating.
So, Thursday is the MRI, but of course, now I have to get lab work, cause they are doing it with contrast, and insurance requires lab work.
I will let you all know what I find out, but has anyone else had this excruciating thigh pain, like me??? It just came out of no where.
Hugs,
Boo

Boo I know it's not what you want to hear but she is probably correct. About the only thing in the leg that would cause the thigh pain would be a pulled muscle and she should be able to tell on examination if that is the problem. So an MRI of your back is more appropriate. Have you ever had sciatica? That can cause excrutiating pain.
