Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

It may be time to talk to you Dr. about your LA pain meds, if they're not doing a better job of keeping your pain under control the other thing, perhaps talking to him about adding some type of light PT, water therapy if you have a pool nearby...I know you've got a lot going on at your house and are frazzed a lot, that can definitely stir up the pain trucks!
Getting out by yourself in a pool and relaxing/wading around for a bit doing water therapy might be just the ticket to get you some downtime and help that pain settle down.

Hang in there my friend. Be gentle and take care of yourself, ask for help, and don't forget to drink lots of water.
Sending hugs, love, and comfort.

MIne hits like that around 4 or 5pm- just when it's time to get dinner on the table. And yes, it's my fibro pain as well.
I have to agree with kat that water therapy is just the best for fibro pain.l've been doing it off and on for 15 years and always felt my best when I was able to be in the pool 3x a week. I now have a water pt script from my pm doc but have to wait til after my gb surgery to start. I can't wait. And it is down time as well- relaxing from all the craziness of life. it's time just for you.
I hope you have a therapy pool somewhere near you. it has to be warm water. Cold water will kill your fibro and make the pain10x worse.
I just got a crockpot which is helping my situation because I can put dinner in the pot in the morning when I feel well and when that truck hits- my family can dish out dinner themselves.
Sorry this is happening to you Dixie. I think it's just the progression of the disease. And I've almost put 911 on speed dial for it too.

At the cabin where we got married there was an indoor Jacuzzi (6 person) and when we returned there for a vacation after my fibro had gotten so much worse, it really helped. Even in a small pool you can do some leg exercises And if it's long enough, even some arm exercises. But even the warm water and Jacuzzi sprays will help immensely.

Hang in there!
