(Maybe OT) 'Squirting' in spine from IV contrast

I got 2 constrast MRIs of brain and C-spine yesterday. Is it normal to feel squirting in the back of the neck, where the skull meets the spine? Every time the dye got injected yesterday, I could feel/hear it kinda spurting out. I know it wasn't a reaction to the machine reaching that specific level, because I also got MRIs w/o contrast and had no issue.

It almost has to be the thing that Jen described. For fluid to squirt out of your neck you would have had to have an open wound on the back of your neck that went into your spinal canal.....if that were so your spinal fluid would have leaked out and you'd not be alive to have posted this message. Trust me you'd have never been allowed to leave that hospital if there were fluid coming from a hole to your spinal canal in the back of your neck.

The nerves cause really strange sensations when they make the skin feel like something cold or hot is on it or that its wet when its not....it's kinda freaky. The main thing I hate about contrast injections is I can always taste them when they put them through the IV in my arm....it bugs the crud out of me.

I wonder if it has to do with spinal cord Compression...hope you will get some good news from the MRI though . Best wishes
