Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I've had fibro for about 15 years and I've never had a fever with it. That's not to say it can't happen but it's an unusual presentation.
Has you doctor considered working you up for an autoimmune disorder? I've had lupus for 17 years and I do get low grade temps when it flares. Usually it's my first indication of a flare coming on.
See if your doc will order an ANA,CRP, and LE factor. Just be aware that even if you have lupus the chances your bloodwork will be normal are pretty high. You have to find a dr. who thinks out of the box in order to get a proper diagnosis.l
Good luck and let us know how this turns out.

Were you tested for Lymes or some kind of tropical bug bite? It obviously is still in your body. Temps that high are just not normal.
I don't tolerate low-grade temps well.i get headaches and tired and cranky. I try not to take Tylenol for low grade temps unless I know it's a lupus flare. It won't go higher than 101 anyway so why suffer?
You're a stronger woman than I am!

I did work with a rheumatologist for a brief period of time. He ran blood work and when all of that came back negative for autoimmune, he said it was fibromyalgia. I only met with him once. I know I have a small pituitary tumor, only 3mm, and I had been hoping that might explain things. The endocrinologist said it was clinically insignificant and wasn't causing problems. She ordered blood work to test hormone levels and I am still waiting to hear the results of that.
When I have a fever, I know it cus my anxiety shoots up and I get overheated. For the past three days, my anxiety has been horrid. I keep feeling like I can't breathe. I mean, I intellectually know I am breathing, but I get stuck in a cycle in my head where I don't think any viable oxygen is coming in. I don't know if the fever and the anxiety is related, but they do seem to happen together a lot.
My therapist told me to call my psychiatrist about the increased anxiety. I left a message for her. Hopefully she gets back to me soon. It's getting really tiring continuing to have these freak out moments.
It could have something to do with CFS -- OR-- ( what docs have a hard time believing ) we are all just different - different bodies doing what they do.
Sending hugs, love, and comfort.
