Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I know that for those of us whose daily lives are ruled by the ever constant pain of our situations, it's very hard to keep a positive outlook on things. Since I'm new to the group, I don't know if this has been done yet or recently, but what if we all post something here about something good that we've experienced lately? Maybe by reading the posts of others, it'll help those of us who are really struggling at the time to have a little bit of hope. I'll start.
I had a really long and painful weekend. I easily reached my pain scale of ten, and there were times when I didn't think I'd make it. But guess what? I did. And because I did, I feel really good about myself! I faced my "demons," so to speak, and survived instead of letting the pain beat me down. I made it through it all and am still here. The best part was the hugs from my friends I had received here when I was gone. Thank you! :)

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I just will say I sat in an AA meeting tonight and saw a man who has had a psychic change regarding sex and women....I was truly amazed at what he said about his new dating relationship....he made me laugh with joy to hear this change...it is because he does not want to drink again and is beginning to see differences between right and wrong in his own behaviors...yeay!
And update for me, I got a puppy. I got him mainly as a reason to get me out of the house. Otherwise I just stay focused on the pain. He's a great dog... but I've been wondering... why don't they make rabbit poop flavored dog food?
Bill, that's a good story.:)
Ebins , I 'm so happy you got a new puppy and good luck.. I wish you'd post a pic of him in your photos cause he sounds adorable! Yay you for pushing through that pain. Bless your heart.
My weekend was a happy one cause my 23 year old came home for the weekend. Helped take my mind off of the pain for awhile and I love it when one or both of my boys come home ! :)
I asked about the doggie food because there are wild rabbits that run through my yard and have left little droppings. My dog seems to really love them and I'm constantly shooing him away from them! Ewww! lol

My cat and dog are getting closer by the day and are now snuggling up together, its the cutest thing I've ever seen! I hope your 2 fur balls end up the same Ebins.
