Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Maybe try some high protein drinks to help keep you from getting malnurished.
I have a hard time eating but if I take meds without food I can not keep them down. I either eat a protein bar or a shake with a piece of bread. But I also add Papaya tablets to help digest them. All the meds has screwed up my digiestion and papaya is natural. I also choke down a One-a-Day vitamin. Can;t fight these illnesses if your system goes down.
I also have to put a timer on to remember to eat something. I try to get 5 small meals a day down. One meal is 1/2 a protein bar for me.
I hope it gets better for you. Good luck. Hope some of our other members have some good ideas for you. Hugs-RJ
I hope you get to feeling better soon!

I know that I went through a big phase with my medication where I felt that I was eating normally. In reality, I was eating very small amounts here and there through the day. I lost about 30lbs...which is good, I have a lot to lose!
Anyway, your body needs a certain amount of calories per day to keep up homeostasis--- the basic energy to breath, pass waste etc.
Keep a few things around your house like nuts, fruit sorbet/frozen yogurt, cheese wedges, hummus, sweet potato, little carrots etc.
If you can, make it a point every 2 hours to eat a handful of whatever AT LEAST. Some nuts and wedge of cheese are good for a little handful ... you get the point.
Also, remember that many medications need food to process correctly through the body or to not cause illness like vomiting.
Take care of yourself, I hope that you will find a balance soon.
I agree with the others, ensure tastes good and it really helped me.
Hugs

But lack of hunger is just as dangerous. I agree with RJ and also Kallie. You should get your thyroid checked.
I know you don't want to eat, but if you eat high calorie, high protein meals 5x a day, you'll get the nutrition you need and you won't feel over-stuffed. Also, your blood sugar will be regulated and won't flig--flop all around.
Good luck with this!

My hunger has returned some, but the stress still eats away at it. I have had since I originally posted 2 more blood tests and apparently there's "nothing wrong". I have a doctors appointment on the 28th and I will ask my neurologist''s office to make me copies of the tests on from my two hospital visits in July.
My neuro had sent me for an eeg and mri. Some issue came during the eeg and I'm not sure what it was. All I remember is the eeg all of a sudden being done and I was apparently starring at the wall in front of me. My spine felt like it was being crushed and on fire. A similar incident happened later that day during the mri.
I'm so bothered by all my symptoms, I don't even care what is wrong, I just want it fixed. I have read up on autonomic nervous system damage, and almost 100% of my symptoms fall into that category.
Take care,
Kat
~EEG- Normal
~MRI- Abnormal, an area of my brain is growing more capillaries than needed (will be monitored by symptoms and another MRI is scheduled for 6 months from now)
~Migraines are now being called "complex"
~Adrenal glands, spine, and hips will be checked with a CT scan
~Due to my sleep issues, a sleep study is being scheduled
I also was able to obtain a copy of the blood test results from my hospital trip. The lab ranges are in parenthesis. It's a LONG list, so I hope you have some snacks handy!
