Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Are you seeing a pain management doctor? A good pain management doctor can make a huge difference. Of course so can a good primary care doctor. Unfortunately many have become reluctant to prescribe opiates for chronic pain in the past few years.
You must be excited about the new one coming but a little scared too. Two is so different that one :) GOOD LUCK!! xo
You make a good point about pacing and planning when you have chronic pain. Honestly, I have been overdoing the last few days and need to let my body rest so I am at my best when my grandson is here on Tuesday. I hate that I have to limit myself, but I have learned that if I overdo, I will pay and be down longer. Chronic illness is SO challenging, isn’t it?
Yep, we are very excited about the new grand. We will find out the gender this week. I have no preference, of course, but it will still be fun to know whether we have a boy or girl on the way.
Jojo
Pacing yourself is one of the keys to having a life with chronic pain. Another key is not overdoing it. Another key is learning to say no and not feeling guilty.
