For example..
It may seem a little shallow, but...
If I haven't hurt myself too much in the process..
I really feel good now when I get girly head - to toe.
Once-upon-a when I was younger and lived in CA time...
It was standard, everyday, to be well dressed..hair n make-up..
Bla bla..you know the routine..
Now..not so much..
So...when I can and do...it does make me feel happy.
How about you....anything make you feel good/better/happy now that used to just be run-of-the-mill?

Me.... feeling well enough to take my old car out for a rumble, turn some heads and get a bit of "boy" ego back.... Wahoooo.... especially draggin off the young whipper snappers.....
getting my hair colored by my Indian barber in a chair as he made it so serious and luxurious for $20.
riding in a cab to where i want to go or just walking the street of the east village and going to sidewalk cafes or parks or art festivals or street fairs all spring, summer and fall.
i'm homesick and have no way of getting there...or much less staying.

I like going for a car ride too, but they have to be really short any more and who's taking me?!

funny, i used to dance a lot and play pool, too. it was fun taking the guys off the table. at least, we have those memories.
Just getting out of the house and going out to dinner with my family makes me happy. (We went to LongHorn Steakhouse last night and boy was it good!)

I also enjoy spending time with my husband. We've been together so long, whenever he or I say something, the other says "I was just thinking that!".
Seems the little things that I used to miss because I was so busy working or running around, are what gives me contentment today.
