Tylenol and NSAID's are the ones that really worry me, I think yesterday Honor also asked the same question, about the meds/organs issue, and I found a really, really long article that shows you what meds are worst for what. I want to start by saying that I hope that YOU are doing well. I wish at least one day a week, someone from our group could have a pain free day. That would be great. I would patiently wait in line for my turn. Lol
I am on the Fentynal Patch, which is constantly putting medicine in my body, I guess, this is what the doctor said. I am also on Dilaudid 2-3mgs for Breakthrough. I would think that all of that fast acting medicine would not be good. I would say that, that person should be put on on Extended Release medicine and maybe keep something for the breakthrough. That is a lot of Acetometaphin first of all, with all the Hydro and it seems to me that the person is also taking a lot of anti anxiety meds. 10mgs of Diazapam is a lot to me, but I could be wrong. Whatever the case may be, I hope this person decides to talk to they're doctor about coming off of all the fast acting meds, and replace them with a longer acting one, and then something for breakthrough. It would probably work better, but like you said, we are not doctors.

Tipper gave you a great place to look because she placed a long list of interactions of meds to the body on that post. We'd be lost without our Tipper.
Also any med that I take I look it up on the net and see what the long term side effects are. Believe me it is more informative on here than on the sheets that the pharmacies give you.

I would suggest they talk with their doctors.

Hopefully their doctors are running liver and kidney function blood test if not your friend should ask them to.

Also if your friend has other health problems they should check the side effects of these meds.

My lung doctor gave me a list of meds both over the counter and prescription to avoid because they can make my asthma worse.

It's sad I actually like valium but I can't take it because it suppresses the respitory system.

If you have a history of heart issues in your family, avoid the Celebrex. Google "Cox-2 inhibitors." Most have been removed from the market such as Vioxx and Bextra. Does the Skelaxin help? It is a newer and expensive muscle relaxer. I take Norflex and that helps some. I also take Valium. Be careful with opioids + valium! Do you have a pain doc or family doc prescribing? I think you should consider a long-acting opioid if your pain is constant, consistent. Then take the hydrocodone for breakthrough only.
