Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I would thing they would want to figure out WHY you are having your cycle so much. Have you tried birth control pills to regulate your cycle? As for the oxycodone...if the doc already told you he knows that you aren't just seeking pain meds, what's the problem? 180 pills since july is not a huge amount- that's a 30 day supply at 6 a day and it sounds like you've needed them pretty regularly. If you are concerned about how many you are taking, ask for a SR medication- you take it 2 or 3 times a day and then have some other med for break through. Best of luck to you but it sounds like you have an understanding doctor- just be honest with him/her and don't over extend yourself with them- call when needed (for emergencies) and make appointments when necessary for more complicated issues such as the nerve blocks, etc. xoxoLyn
