I have had four as a slipped disk you are referring to a herniated disk?
I had pain but no more pain if I coughed or breathed that sounds more like a bruised rib or a broken rib to me as herniated disk should hurt basically all the time and you will have flares where they hurt more then usually if you over do it but not for something like a cough it would be like if you were bending or doing laundry and walking up and down the stairs all day might make someone break out into a flare.

I would talk to the doctor as it sounds like it might be something else as if it is only hurting when you cough that is odd now if you are hurting all the time and when you cough it hurts a bit more sort of like a pinch that is somewhat normal.

I have neck problems, not back, but I would report anything unusual to my doctor. I would suggest to keep a journal and write down each time it hurts, pain level, and what you were doing at that time.

I would go and see the doctor - if yours is like mine here they prefer not to deal over the phone as a rule.

Pain is there for a reason it tells us that something is not quite right in our bodies. Since we all have CP we have learned to tune-out those messages and ignore what our bodies are trying to tell us. Breathing is essential and not something to be taken lightly. If you have pain with every breath then it is time to seek medical advice. Please contact your doctor. And let us know what you find out after your appointment. I have herniated discs as well. When I sneeze it usually hurts more times than not. Sometimes worse than others depending on how hard I sneeze.

Definately call your dr. I have had 6 buldging dics and always waited it out afraid to go to the dr. Well 10 years later I ended up with a 3 level fusion. Wish I had been more serious about it from the beginning. I exactly know the kind of pain your talking about. I hope it gets better soon.

i'm heading to the drs tomorrow, so hopefully he will do some scans and find out why this is starting to happen.
this started after having some loving time with bf, so it's strange cause it has never happened before.
