Pacific Northwest Washington is where I live and for CP patients in my area there is no pain help. It's no longer provided. So if you can find help you are fortunate.

Mark check with every hospital in the area they should be able to help. I know a few people use an anestesiologist so keep an open mind. Get online do your research. Expect good things to happen and they will.

hello tendonshurt yea I have been to the hospital before, everybody out there you guys gotta understand this is Florida since the pain clinic problem every body is running scared of the federal and local government,that's why I am having so much trouble. No doctor wants to treat someone like me. I suffer from diabetic neuropathy with magnified symptoms because of my use 15 years ago of intron A if you look at me and read all my tests I should not be in this much pain, my pain doc (former) never heard or pain from cancer drugs, this is something new when I told him about how I believe this is part of my problem he looked at me and thought I was crazy, that's just before he dumped me. Yea the hospital is great but its a $100 copay plus what ever other costs to stay there, 1 I hate hospitals 2 I basically live on ss disability my wife makes less than me and once you leave the hospital you are on your own, they don't prescribe meds, man I still owe my local hospital $100 they are sticking a collection agency on me. I don't know what point I am trying to make but Florida is different then where ever you guys are man I opened the yellow pages I could not believe my eyes pain clinics all gone now but they say doc on premises we do not accept insurance and cash only woaa Florida is not for people like me also why do the detox centers want my social security card I don't give that to anybody so I am having another problem, oh well 9am apt with my primary care doc who I inherited when my old one retired he sucks won't talk on the phone so office visit just to ask a question $20 every time I can't afford all the co pays I have every month, down here there is no such thing as 6 month supply you have to go every month just for re fills $40 bucks every month for that remember I have a 23 year old my wife won't let me charge her for car insurance, I phone etc . She works and lives rent free I just love to see her and her boyfriend laying in her bed together I just wanna scream What was I trying to say I don't remember thanks all you are all lucky you are not in Florida and married to my wife aghhh

I have to go every month to my pain clinic to get my meds. $40 copay plus a 4 1/2 hour drive. I take 10 different meds a day and one drug alone is $60/month, and I HAVE insurance!

I haven't added up the cost of my monthly meds cuz frankly I don't want to know!

You are in a sucky state as far as pain clinics. I watched just last week a show about how FL has so many "fake" clinics and Drs. that I understand your problem to find a legitimate one.

Hello ladyfair sorry you are having problems with my posts I do tend to ramble on sometimes, so I apologise, this has been a couple of weeks that has been extremely hard on me. Believe me the last thing I want to do is add any problems to anybody. I want to thank you for your help and concern, but I have decided to no longer be a part of this community. I will visit from time to time to see how my friends are doing, but will no longer post here. I wish you only the best and many good things for you and all my friends for the future

This is directed to fightingfibro wow you have it rough, how do you do it, I couldn't I am so sick that after a half hour in the car the pain forces me to pull over when I am forced to drive my daughter to school, because she is too much of a premadona to take the bus its a hour and a half round trip and I am so weak I am done for the day. I hope it gets better for you and I wish you only good things please feel better and all the good luck in the world should be directed towards you. Please do not respond to this post as I have decided to no longer participate in this site as certain people here are very opinionated and confrontational and I get all the aggravation at home I need.
