Sorry guys. I hope everyone is as well and as pain free as they can. Ive had to be taken off ALL of my medication for my nerve damage and pain because of the seizures I was having. It was just to much to deal with. I would go into a dark depression afterwards and Ive been fighting it so hard. I have an appt tuesday with a specialist it took 6 months to get this appt but now my hubby doesnt want me to go. He doesnt want me back on the medication. We are both frustrated, but he is frustrsted enough to leave me over this and my pain. It infuriates me but part of me surrenders and says let him go. All he does is cause more stress and more pain in my heart. Ive decided to go to the appt for myself. Im an adult I dont need his permission. I would however like his support. I need it right now. My grandmother passed away last week and since Im sick and still using the walker I couldnt go to the funeral. So Ive been upset with just everyone. I know its not fair or right. well i guess that is all for now. sorry for the rant i just needed to get it out. hugs guys ive missed you.

i had a appointment with the cp i didn't want to go after seeming who i was seeing but glad i went as he did help.
their are a lot of herbal painkillers and some people on ds who cant take medications use herbal instead.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Grandma. I'm also sorry that you are in pain and having problems with meds. You should go to your appt. as their are many meds out there that can help. There are anti-seizure meds that are prescribed for pain and control over spasms.
Your husband might just fear that you are setting yourself up for failure. It's not his body though and you keep trying until you find something that works for you.

I first want to say that I am so sorry for your loss and for the pain and troubles you are going through. My fiance doesn't quite understand my situation either and is quite selfish also. You should have him read the wonderful letter to normals that someone put on here. It is very good at explaining how us CPer's feel and what we need sometimes. I wish I could tell you how to find it, but if you ask I am sure that someone here can point you in the right direction. It might just help your situation, even a tiny bit. I hope that you do go to the appointment. If you don't, you may be stuck wondering if that doctor could have helped you in any way. I would hate to see someone like you not get the help that they need and deserve, just because of someone that is not supporting you like they should. Find the letter and have him read it. It is like the lottery saying " HEY, YOU NEVER KNOW ", RIght? It might just knock some sense into him.

First of all, hello and welcome back, second, have you gone through a spinal cord stimulator (SCS) trial???? I have severe nerve damage from several spinal surgeries that went wrong, from L1 to S1, and it affects my legs. My PM Doctor mention the SCS to me back in 08, I did the trial (5 days), and the device was my answer! I had the permanent one installed in June of 08, and even since then my nerve pain is down 90%!! With no nerve pain meds at all!!!
If you haven't tried this device, please, please do some research. Go to, www.controlyourpain.com, find a Doctor that works with these devices, if you try it and is not for you, then you can go to plan B, taking meds again, but if it works, it will be the best thing for you!
As far as your husband goes....... he's been very, very selfish! I am sure that if his back had the same issues that yours do, he would be screaming for pain meds! You need to take care of #1 and right now, that is you!!! If he wants to go, don't let the door hit him in the arse! Why be in pain, when science can help????!! Sometimes blessings come in disquise, and him leaving might be good for you and your healht, think about that. Take care, try to find a Doctor that can help you with an SCS trial, and remember, you are #1!!!!! Hugs,
everyone I made it here and my appt is tomorrow. Im not sure im going to sleep tonight Im so worried just about a lot of things. Proud of myself for driving all this way too lol. Hubby and I have talked a lot tonight he is just worried about the "kinds" of medications these drs keep putting me on and ehat they are doing to my bidy he says I never seem to get better. But I dont know its why I wanted him to come with me. He can explain that better. The last pc dr I had, had me on a dosage of fentanyl and dilaudid that could have overdosed me so he is just really protective of me right now but he has to understand i still have pain it just doesnt poof go away.
