Actually quite a few of the back pain folks around here have tried this....some get relief, but it never seems to be long lasting. Some the injections cause more pain and no relief.

Have you ever considered having Laser Spine Surgery, it's minimally invasive and usually only an outpatient procedure. Not sure if they have them in your area, but might be worth it to look around.

Injects, any of them are just "helpers", not fixers to the problem, and they really don't tend to last long for most folks I know.

do you mean ablation tx, where they use radio frequencies to destroy the nerve. If so you will get two appts for testing. they dose the nerve and seee if it helps if yes then ablation ahead. I had it done in 2007 bil L5/S1. While the pain was reduced other pain took its place. Its amazing you dont always feel all your pain, when the one your focused on goes away, one of the other spots is now noticeable. Been getting the epideral injections a series of four shots repeated two to three visits every 12-18 months since 2004, or 2006. Always helpful for me, does not eliminate it but makes the pain tolerable for me to manage. good luck with your choices.
