Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
when the man accepts the pain he's the right guy,the right guy will understand and help and not ask you to do things when your pain.
i would move on with life and start finding mr right.
good luck
You'll find someone soon. Don't grieve for this loser. He's not worth it. God bless. Hugs, Lee
He's probably married and most of what he's told you is a lie. I would bet on it.
As I said, one of my biggest fears was finding someone that would commit for the long haul despite my physical state, massive amount of medical debt, medication, and all the things we deal with. But like I said, this WAS one of my biggest fears. I kept following the path I'm meant to be on in life, learning from losers along the way, and about a month ago... POOF! A man comes into my life. He's completely un-phased by my physical state. In fact, he told me one night as I cried, that, "He met me the way I am now, so to him, I'm fully physically able." He has NEVER made me feel bad if I can't do something, or just can't get out of bed. He has actually made me feel BETTER about my physical condition. The first day he came to my apartment that I had just moved into, he started to unpack things I couldn't do on my own! He doesn't ask if he can do things for me, he just does it. He does ask all the time if there's anything he can help me with, how I'm feeling, and what he can do to help me feel better. HE DOESN'T JUST SPEW MEANINGLESS NONSENSE; HE BACKS UP HIS WORDS WITH ACTIONS. LOVE IS AN ACTION, NOT A WORD. This is what you want, this is what you deserve, and this is what will come to you when both you and your man are at the right points in your life. I believe that in order to find your soul mate, both of you need to be traveling along the life paths you're meant to be on... Then your paths will cross when the time is right.
You WILL find someone, but if you're wasting ANY time on losers, you might not be open and looking when the RIGHT man crosses your path. I had to confront loneliness before I found my man, become ok with being alone. The weird part is, the second I was ok being alone, he came into my life and now I'll never be alone again. Strange but awesome. YOU will have the same thing. Just please don't waste time on losers so your eyes will be wide open when the right man comes along. They're few and far between, which is amplified by the amount of losers in this world, but everyone has a soulmate and you will find yours when the time is right! Be grateful he showed his true colors. Don't let him come back and try to sweet talk you. You know what kind of person he is. Don't let his words sway you. Judge people solely on their ACTIONS not by their WORDS. You know you deserve better, so hold out until you find what you deserve. I know it seems like no one will ever love us, especially us young CP'ers, but I'm living proof that there's someone out there for all of us that will treat us exactly how we treat them!
I'm sorry if I rambled a bit, I just feel so strongly about this, and needed to let you know you're not alone in this, and the right person WILL come, one that won't make you feel bad, lie/play you, or try to control you. Check out Christian Carter, he's a relationship expert that shares a lot of good information for free. Yes, I'm a dork and I get the daily newsletter, hahaha! :-) Learn what it is you really want and deserve, then don't settle for anything less!
Much love and understanding,
Lisa
In my marriage I had, he never wanted to be involved in my health. In turn that made it worst, not having someone that really cares.
He is just USING you, I wouldn't be surprise he tries to come back.
I agree he married or with someone else. It happen to my son years ago.
YOUR HEALTH IS MORE IMPORTANT.
I am married to the best man in the world and have been for 20 yrs. I wake up everyday asking myself how I got so lucky! Which is not to say that life is perfect, but lovebaby8 has learned an important lesson. I think she will apply it and make the next man live up to certain standards or he is gone!

I am dissolving a 20 year relationship which began to fall apart with the beginning of my chronic pain in August of 2003. But it would have ended anyways because he is too much of a selfish person for me to tolerate, not to mention he hides from dealing with his own issues behind my chronic pain, among others. I do believe some people who become educated about what we experience in actual pain and then all the other issues chronic pain brings with it to our lives, become again loving and compassionate and the bonding in relationship continues from there.............. but without an understanding of it..... they are frightened just as we are........... because of the issues not being addressed................................ which our chronic pain brings to their lives.
Our pain clinics are fighting a battle just to physically medicate our bodies and wasting precious resources which should be put to better use for counseling our families and friends and employers and the general public about this disease. It is a disease, caused by many different physical illnesses and it is misdiagnosed & under-treated more often than not.
However............. I believe we need to have supportive relationships in our (chronic pain patients) lives. Not wishing to be telling you what to do. All I say is from my own research and experiences with my 8-9 year battle with my own C.P.
I only wish to empower you and suggest what I have found to help me be well (er) in my own daily life.
In Love, Light, Truth, & Service,
'Stubborn' TerrieAnn
