Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

My big plans for the day include....giving myself a manicure. My husband bought me a beautiful ring yesterday so I want to admire it in the best setting ;)
I have dialysis tonight. I always make an effort to look nice when I go. I feel better when I make an effort. Last time I went the nurses were teasing me for being overdressed, stating they would just wear sweats.
I has a friend years ago who was diabetic. She totally let herself go. I swore to myself at the time that I would never do that. I recently saw a post on facebook that said,' No matter how you feel. Get up. Dress up. Show up. And never give up. I loved it. Hope you guys like it too.
I hope everyone is able to find some moments of pleasure in their day.
What an awesome attitude you have!
It's great to " see" you..
You've insoired me to put a little extra effort in today. !
Hugs

You've inspired me
Neither of you is probably old enough to remember the Unknown Comic. Actually became qausi famous for a while.. as a comedian.. who wore a paper bag on his head. :-)
Pink.. do you think you can hide tired with makeup?
Maybe.
I've been saying for a couple of years..
You can't hide pain... when I bother with makeup. :-)

Kelly I am so happy you have a good attitude....you are young and this stuff could drive depression in many but you are pushing thru with a positive attitude that shines thru here...thanks for that...I do not think I could do that but your exemplary self is going full force happy joyous but not completely free from that dialysis machine....which sucks as I know it is not pain free to have that procedure done....
JanCam thank you for keeping the Chronic pain board going for a little bit here....this morning I just got telephone call I knew I would about student canceled due to snow...she is moving to Friday....so ok...but I did not bother to get up....just eating bagel and taking meds then back to sleep all morning...but telephone kept ringing off hook...I had to block two marketer calls already this morning...hahaha
Pink you look Marvelous! (in my best Billy Chrystal voice)...LOL
I hope the PM visit is productive and that the couch afterwards has some good tv time for you...it seems to have become my MO to watch TV all the time now....I sometimes watch History channel for the reality shows like Pawn Stars and American Pickers as well as Counting Cars....and Pawnography....they are fun entertainment to my feeble mind...LOL
I am going to go out today the snow was just maybe inch....I want to go to JCPenney and buy a new pair of blue jeans in a 38 waist size...it is first pair under 40 I have had in 25yrs now at least....I have dropped with the kidney stone last year over 20lbs and then more with this diverticulitis I lost even more....so last time I weighed in few days ago I had gained 4lbs from my lowest ever in 25yrs or more of 225lbs that I had some time last week....my 40 pants seem to really fall off if I do not tighten the belt so I am going down this size on pants with a $10 off $10 or more purchase...
that is the plan this afternoon....tonight I will prob go to an AA meeting close to home....
sorry this is so long post....I got winded writing it....LOL Hugs I am sure your eyes had work out reading this drivvel
so that was a fun little trip out...it was flurrying while I drove and not sticking....the roads are all clear now...
So next to the doctors office in hour and half from now....about the blood clot in my pinky finger....
