Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I am up it is 5:15am here in STL MO and I slept so well....I think I fell asleep before I knew what hit me last night....I watched Leno's monolog and the moment it was over and I turned off tv before the secondary stuff I was lights out....I guess I had really become tired with working so many hours....I really was only working 8hrs daily out of the ten per day they wanted me to be working...LOL I found that to be another straw on the camels back....long work hours...starting 7am is not my thing...
anyway I resigned last night turning everything in that needed to be returned to them....I want to know what they pay me for the two days this week....it will prove the point that I was not making tons of money delivering....because it was commission but they did not tell you what the rate was per delivery you took....so you had no control of income or knowledge of income either....sucked....
glad to be with you all for breakfast...if I had been first we would have been on an undersea adventure...I was going to take you all to meet the Little Mermaid......I met her when I lived on Guam...LOL Disney is some creative cartoons....next time maybe we will do Snow White and the seven Dwarfs.....LOL
Scriberheart, so sorry to hear you're still not feeling well. I do hope you're not getting that flu. I know when I had it, everytime I blew My nose, it was 15 Kleenex or more. I was like really, hope you feel better soon.
Bill,.sorry about the job, but it's nice to have you back for breakfast. Hope those legs of yours feel better soon. I'm so glad you had a good nights rest.
Well it's off to the neurosurgeon for me this morning to see about the pump again. Still draining. I want it out and need them.to move it to the other side. I have never felt so lousy. Every muscle hurts, like I worked out, but haven't been able to at all for at least 10 days. I've been teary eyed for days.
Please say a prayer for me. I would greatly appreciate it.
I hope and pray you all have a low pain day. I'm so grateful to have each and every one of you in my life.
Love & Hugs,
Mary Ellen
Bill, That was a very challenging job you had..and you know gas prices are on the rise...you gave it a very good try. I know you will find something better suited for you.
Mary Ellen, I Hope and Pray your nuerosurgeon will give you succussful help with your pump. You have been through too much frustration with it. Prayers for sure!
I am back in afib....heart pounding and I am quite lightheaded...I need to stay seated, but my back is hurting lots when I sit or lay down. This too shall pass~ soon, I hope.
May we each find a Blessing hiding...just waiting to be found!
I am in a good mood because for the first time in 2 weeks I didn't have to take dilaudid for my back pain! I think the injections kicked in. Of course, I haven't done anything but go to the bathroom yet, but before, my back hurt even when I layed in bed. Plus I got Conor off to the bus on time- woo-hoo! Maybe I should play the lottery today!
Scriberheart, sorry about the cold. Head colds are the worse, but when you add chest symptoms it gets even worse.I hope you feel better soon.
Bill- what were you delivering? Drugs? I can't believe they wouldn't tell you what your commission rate was. You're better off without that job and I know you'll find another soon. You are a very resourceful guy.
Mary Ellen, good luck at the neurosurgeon's today. I hope they realize just how screwed up your current pump site is and schedule you for the surgery to switch it to the other side. Only then will your wound begin to heal.
And Carol, you poor thing. I hope the Afib breaks soon.Have you ever had to be cardioverted? I've done cardioversions and I know they are painful but they do work. If you're that lightheaded that you can't stand, maybe you need to hit the ER.Your BP must be low. Please take care and get help when you do have to stand
up for whatever reason.
I thought I'd add some music for the day:

Have a great day!
Sandy
I am upright. Definitely need lots of coffee with lots of cream.
I have a cardiologist appt this morning. Husband scheduled a business appt at the same time. I am hoping my one of my son's can take me. My husband is getting overwhelmed having to cover my business. I guess we have a lot to discuss and plan out. I just assumed he could do what I could do. He can not multitask at all. So sad :(
Scriber-sorry about the cold. They are so miserable
Bill- gotta find a job that is easy on the body. Are there Mermen at this underwater cafe?
Mary Ellen- The pump sounds like it is more trouble than it is worth. I do hope it is helping with the pain.
Yog- I am so sorry the afib is continuing so much. Have they done a week of the heart monitor. It was a very helpful test for my husband. They need to fix this for you. If your doctor is just doing the wait and see attitude. You may want a 2nd opinion.
Sandy- So glad the pain is down today. That is awesome
To all that come after me or who are typing at the same time- hugs and well wishes for the day.
I am off to another doctor. Wishing all a wonderful low pain day.
Hugs-RJ

I have not eaten yet. Been throwing up from pain. I imagine when I weight 90 pounds again, THEN someone will notice that I am not FAKING!
I am beyond tired of living today.
I feel like I could go back to sleep, but I know I can't right now. I need to try to get a shower at some point today, but I am having nerve sensitivity in my skin and I know it will be painful. It just seems like it is always something with me. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Anyhow, I wish you, my extended family, a wonderful day. Full of laughter and love. I hope you see a beautiful rainbow and find that pot of gold!!
Love you all!!
Gentle hugs,
Jenna
sorry for others pain and more; happy for those with relief.
i woke up at 4 with body pain and now am in migraine zone. at least i paid my bills online before it got too bad. i'm hoping to get out of it and do laundry and other things. i don't know what's going on with these things. evil things.
hoping we all can make the best of the day.
Bill so glad to hear that you retired from the shuttle job, it sounded like it was taking a toll on you,
I wish i could remember what the rest of you said ???
im sorry to hear about all of the problems folks are having and wish health and happyness to you all,
sounds like a couple of you need to see your dr, good luck with your appts
for me yesterday was a busy day, inspite of the pains i got stuff done and it felt pretty good, now if only i could have two days in a row like that, lol it could happen i guess..
today i hope to get in some time in writing in my journal, and to get some dabree out of the basement, maybe i'll get some help??
that would be nice,
sounds like we have a party to go to this weekend, I really hope that V will go, she is so busy at work these days, she started a new job in the same company, so at least she is being challanged, and is doing something new, i'm happy for her
i am having a fair amount of chest pain through the pain med, so i keep taking breaks and am seeing my cardiologist in a week and a half, we will see what he has to say, at this point i don't expect much from any of the drs, that i see. im not so sure that i can keep this up. I try to be productive, but most days it is really hard to get motivated through the pain.
I really try to stay on the positive road but it's getting tougher
I hope that you all find a little relief today and that the sun shines in your world
Michael
