Today is moms knee surgery we leave for the hospital in less than an hour now, I am in extreme pain and can only take my motrin 800mg because im driving mom has an easier time getting in and out of my ford escape than their car. Going to be a long day and im really nervous for mom i hate seeing her laid up! Having coffee and a muffin and packed straberrys for later

Hope your pain eases up, and sending positive healing vibes to your mom that her surgery goes well! Enjoy your coffee & muffin, and take a good book with you, maybe a heating pad in case your pain flares more.

AngelaJo I hope your moms surgery goes well and that your pain eases up. Well today is my MRI and I am really scared. Not only for the physical part of having to lie still but for the diagnosis it might bring. I know that I will be a nervous wreck waiting until tmro to get that report.

Angelajo will mom be overnight in hospital? I am guessing you cannot tell me once you left to go unless you have smart phone or computer that is portable...but just hope they do not send her home if she cannot walk well enough to get around on her own..crutches suck!

Jasmine I hope the MRI is not too difficult and I hope they will find a way to help you as a result of this MRI and that the waiting is not too awful...

I am going to go to the ATT store and be like a honey badger for my money...they told me they would take $150 off my first bill when I got it and brought it to them...Tuesday I took the bill down and they said it would show online in 24hrs...well it is not there as of today...so I am going to light into them pretty nice and hard...LOL
I also will buy something at JCPenneys with a $10 off $10 purchase coupon I get in mail every once in while...
Not sure what else I had planned for today but I will be back here for sure sometime later to see what everyone else is up to....

Hey Pink thanks for starting this thread. Virginia is one of the most beautiful state that I have been in. We went through Abington when they had their summer festival. It was awesome. The kids were hiking 50 miles of the Appalation Trail and my husband and I were the emergency crew in case anyone got injured or sick. So we did day hikes and the trail, and toured all the wine vineyards. My husband is a History nut and the little restaurant we ate in was built in 1776. Very cool area.

You did not say how you were feeling today. I hope it is a good day for you.

Angela, I am praying for you and your mother. May her surgery go well and may she heal quickly. Prayers that God give you everything you need to get through this time, so you can help your mother. Please keep us up to date.

Jasmine, I am sending lots of comforting hugs. I understand your fear. I really hate the waiting game of waiting for results. It is so hard for me to lay on my back. They get a wedge for under my knees because I can not lay perfectly flat. They have to knock me out for that. Praying for the best results as possible.

Bill, I hope you win at the ATT store, so frustrating.

It has been weird around my house. We do not normally get the flu or any form of that. My husband came down with respiratory infection and the stomach flu. Got him on antibiotics immediately. But yesterday, I was at therapy and got a call from my son stating that he could not even get out of bed. He had been throwing up and diarrhea for over 12 hours and had lost 16 pounds. He was in so much pain, including charlie horses, and was very dehydrated. I got him some OTC meds and he was finally sitting up. Today he is moving around. I am praying that I do not catch either one of their viruses.

If I misses anyone I am sorry. I am brain dead at the moment.

Woke up to 25 degrees this morning. Dropped my daughter at school and I'm now going to try and get some things done. This new pain is just not going away.

Hi RJrelaxing: I am so sorry all of your loved ones are sick. They are lucky to have you. I hope that you remember to take care of yourself as well. Try to take a few extra minutes for yourself when you can.

RJ- My leg is ok today... just achy all over in general. I didn't sleep well at all, and I still feel very drained, no explanation that I can think of :( It's warmed up to about 70 here, sunny for now, but all I want to do is go home & lay on my couch on my heating pad!!!

well I got the $150 over the telephone discount...as I decided to call in rather than go into store and wait when they do their junk...the call assistant got me $150 credit off my bill and it showed on line immediately...yah yeay!

I am now dealing with a collections agency on medical bills from Jan and Feb of 2014....it is nightmare...Medicaid has paid two of the three bills the 3rd bill I actually owe the whole amount minus what I have already paid to the bill collector. it is a matter of $1500 they say I owe that I do not owe....:0(

Mom is resting well i got her settled in bed at home now, now to take care of me my pain is way out of control now! And i only had 2 hours sleep

Sorry I missed the day I am still struggling with this bronchitis and pneumonia plus I had to go have yet another MRI on my shoulder for my up coming surgery.
I was sending my thoughts and prayers with you all today. Glad things turned out ok for everyone today. May everyone get a goodnight sleep tonight with low pain.

Pink, I know that leg feeling. It's a pest and most of the time I just want to rip mine off (like a barbie doll) and attach a new one that works.

Angela - I hope your Mum is recovering as well as can be expected and you are getting a chance to help your pain levels. It is not easy to care for others, as so many do, and take of yourself too.

Dragonfly - can you have an MRI if you have B & P? I don't think we can here. I hope your body is rid of that pain very soon.

JC - I'm up for a coffee anytime your free :)

Bill - you know how to work that Medicare and Medicade system. Which is great because any medical system can be do darn complex and annoying. I hope you get everything back.

I've missed a few people and I am sorry but I cannot see all the posts on my ipad screen and my memory is not so good. Jasmine I know you posted and I hope you are ok.

I am pooped after this week of helping Mum and now flying back to Sydney. Busy weekend coming up (is Fri at 1pm now). Pain is ok but I have had worse.

Could only get economy on the flight. Usually use points to upgrade to business class. couldn't this time and I am going to suffer for it.
