Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I just woke up for first time in long night....I am so glad I got some good sleep....It snowed here all afternoon yesterday and all last night....looks kind of like maybe 6in on top of my car out there....
I will get out with my shovel and get the sidewalk out to car cleaned...and clear off the car as well...not that I will go anywhere but I just might....I was bored yesterday with TV all day and doing laundry and dishes...that is all done now so not much to do today....vacuum house I promised myself and the group on helping with the housework I would do that today....so those are my plans....not sure where TV will land me but I am sure that the full tivo will be viewed if nothing is on today worth my time...
that support you asked about? Well my two doggies Shep and Tucker are always there for me....and my mom is super woman and wonder woman rolled into one nice 90yr old silver haired lady and I love her dearly for her undying support.....she is way cool help for me....
hugs all have great Sunday if
Church is your thing then so be it enjoy it with God at your side....
As it is my bedtime I will take a tea and 3 donuts please. :)
I'm trying to understand what it would be like to live with snow on a daily basis. I have only seen snow a few times in my life and I am amazed by it. I suspect living in it might be a different story.
Hmmm lets see.....what helps me through the days.....Well definitely my birds - Georgie (m), Casper (f), Oliver (m) and Lola (f). And on Sundays I can waddle/walk (subject to pain level) up to my local cafe for fabulous skim cappuccinos and the soya bean & linseed toast with handmade cinnamon butter. About a million calories but so yummy. And I can sit there for a little while and read my book and the world just goes by.
I was pretty much a slug today and didn't move too much. Lots of snoozing which was needed.
About to snooze again. While I am dreaming of a hot man and a million dollars tonight I hope everyone enjoys their day.
:)
I hear ya..
It's hard to get your BA in goin' at this hour when it's cold especially.
I'm so glad you have your Mom.. and such a great relationship with her.
Ness a,
You're probably off to bed. Sweet dreams Hope you get that man and millions. :-) :-) What kind of birds?
Happy Sunday all
Huhs
Jancam....did it snow there yesterday?
Hope it has been a good weekend for all.
JC, thanks for starting our daily check-in. Good topic. Glad your husband is such a support and Dude, of course. :)
Thanks for the calorie free cocoa and donuts. LOL
Bill, I am sure you and all my northern friends are getting tired of the snow. Glad you accomplished so much this weekend, yay. It is wonderful that your mother is a big part of your life.
Nessa, glad you stopped by, hope you are dreaming wonderful dreams by now. I have had birds, takes a lot of dedication to get them talking. Glad they are a comfort to you.
Lets see what am I up to and what helps me through. This CP board is my main support.
Getting help or support in my real world is very hard. But yesterday was different. I have been so sick the last 3 weeks and really had a difficult year (2014), so I have a huge paper mess. I have hit the deadline for my son's FAFSA for college. Today is the deadline for this to be filed. I needed a years worth of receipts sorted and totaled so I could do the taxes. Taxes have to be completed so you can fill-out the FAFSA paperwork. So I began sorting yesterday. My son walked into the dining room where I set up so I could lay everything out. He watched for a moment and said "so, you just drop the receipt into the box labeled by category?" Yep I said and sat the box of receipts on a chair. After seeing how overwhelming it was, he picked up a handful and started sorting. With help, it went so much faster. We finished that part just as my husband was waking up. Now the task was adding up all the receipts. My son got his calculator and got started on a box of receipts. My husband came in complaining about his challenges and needing a bunch of stuff, so I stopped what I was doing and handled it for him. Then he got all comfy on the couch. OK ENOUGH!!!! I ask him if he would join us at the table and get his calculator to add up receipts. This time he did. Thankfully, between the 3 of us, the hardest part was done. So I started the first tax return. Today I need my son's info so I can get that one done and I will be able to do the FAFSA forms.
Interesting comment from my 23 year old. We were talking before he left for the night. My husband wanted to know if my son felt that if his mom was alone would she need help and protection. My son said no, he would be more worried about my husband!!!! He told him that I do everything and that his father wouldn't know how to take care of himself. Funny how kids see things.
I think I have an angel on my shoulder helping me get this done. I made it through yesterday, and I plan to get through today and finish all of this paperwork. But for now I am waiting for the meds to kick in and the ice pack to get the pain under control.
Tomorrow I am going to take lots of naps.
Wishing all a low pain weekend with many positive moments.
Hugs-RJ

You People impress me!
Jancam,,, so good at keeping things going with a positive flow.
Bill... I'm sure you've worked hard for it, but you seem to be such a steady guy, always keeping an eye out for others.
Nessa...How lovely to hear of a sunny, feathery life down-under. I hope you get the rest you need today.
RJRelaxing...The way that you manage all the daily riffraff of motherhood while dealing with such physical issues is astounding. You are a great role model. I find you very inspiring. I only wish you get the "me" time you deserve today.
For today, the knowledge of your collected strength is going to get me through the day.
Nessa nice to meet you. Tea and your yummy toast with homemade cinnamon butter made my mouth water. A hunky man and lots of money make for a good dream. I am going to bump the "meet and greet" post up for you. If you want you can add something about yourself. If not you can at least get to know us.
Bill lots of snow for you. I bet your big guys like it. I know our labs do.
Bet your mom counts herself as lucky to have you as you do her.
You and JC sure do get early or is it that you just don't go to bed??
RJ you are an inspiration to me. Have always been when it comes to your family you never stop in spite of your pain. Son's comment shows that you must pull that off quite well or he is just blind or in denial. Then again he knows and the comment was directed at his dad so your husband might realize that you do all the work right now and nothing would change if he were gone. Sure hope this makes some kind of sense to you.
Salto wishes for rest and comfort with your critters.
JC I am with you. What gets me through my day is my husband my guy Romeo.
This weekend my 11 year old granddaughter did a good job. It has been a long time since we have had an overnight.
love and peace
