Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

You might want to think about seeing a Pain Psychologist. They can be a big help when it comes to finding ways to adjust and get on with life.
So Dr.'s are limited as to how much pain med you can take. There are things they can do in the way of mixing different types of medications, like analgesics, narcotics, muscle relaxants, anti-inflammatories, etc. I don't know what your med regimen is, but you can always ask your Dr.'s if there is a different blend of meds that might help your pain.
Lots of time people think that when they're in pain the less they move around or exercise the less the pain will be....that's usually the exact opposite. When you don't move around your muscles, joints and tendons stiffen up and get sore, moving around and doing light exercise like walking and pool therapy often help with pain. Heat and Cold also often help with pain. There are usually multiple modalities of treatment that when used together can help the pain...living a life with Chronic Pain requires adjusting your daily life to living with the CP. It's not easy, it often sucks, but it can be done.
IJME recommended seeing a Pain Psychologist which is often a very good idea to help you learn how to successfully live a life with CP and not feel so helpless or alone. If you don't have a Pain Psychologist, seeing a regular Psychologist or Therapist can also help, just having someone to vent to, bounce ideas off of, get support from can make things much better.
I hope that things look up for you soon.
I haven't been on DS regularly in a year and a half. I'm struggling physically and mentally. I'm totally drug free except for ibuprofen and it's been hell. I chose to detox myself in 2014 because I was on way to many pain pills and they quit working. I'm not ok I hurt 24/7. I'm considering going back to pain management but I'm scared of being dependant again. I use a lot of ice I hang upside-down daily. Don't give up keep searching for new ways to get relief. Distractions help too.
Healing hugs and prayers
I might suggest new dr(s) and also find what little tricks help you..be it doing things out of the normal way of doing things...whatever helps you have less pain
Today I eill be happy.
I totally get that for new ailments and illness but not for this stuff that's been around for years.
Most of it I treat myself by knowing my body well. I've had all the x-rays and exams so I refuse to pay for physical therapy I can do at home and I won't take brain killers. I say brain killers because they work on the brain, not the pain.
There are things I do go to the doctor for but avoid it as much as I can. I get it. We do what we can. Healing wishes for you.
