Just a note, when you stop the Gabapentin it needs to be tapered off, not just stopped cold turkey, that can cause some nasty side effects. I know you want to get off of it, but its worth it to stretch it our over a week or so.

My doc now has me on Morphine as needed, a 15 mg. tab broken in half, twice a day. It helps, although I hate having to use it because I have to schedule my life around it. I've never tried Fentanyl patches.

My brothers Dr won't prescribe opana er. He said he only gives it to cancer patients. So that being said it's going to depend on your PM and what he's comfortable prescribing. Best wishes with your pain control. Mine never drops below a 4 regardless of what I do.
