I am so sorry to hear about this Jasmine... I really hope there is some other treatment available other than surgery.
One of my major frustrations living in US has been the approach to health care.. I agree that we have excellent medicine when it comes to medications and surgical/interventional services (
Because there is money to be made, so it is well
Developed), but there is almost nothing available for preventative care and restorative/conservative care.
In other countries there are medical spas - they do not do nails and beauty or botox - these " sanatoriums" arr designed soecifically for prevention, maintenance and treatment of illnesses by means other than drugs, surgery and injections.
I went to one of those resorts when i had duodenal ulcer when i was 10 and i was cured PERMANENTLY after 2 months withoud drug.
I know arthritis and radiculitis can not be cured, but therr has to be treatment available to
Decrease the pain and increase mobility.
Anyway.. I just want to say that i am so sorry you had a sad day.

I am so sorry that you have so much damage in your neck. Do the shots help.

Since your doctor is congratulating you, I would ask if your prize is a medical discount for his services. LOL Some doctors think they are funny, but they are just insensitive jerks.

Jasmine, I'm glad your doctor knows what you have, now he has to really focus on trying to help.

I don't have the same type of problem, I have cervical spondolosis which is common, and also a pinched nerve in my neck that goes down my arm and causes my hand to close up. I've been able to get PT for the pinched nerve, where my neck is stretched to release the nerve and it helps.

Thanks so much to all of you. RJ the shots do help me somewhat. In a perfect world you should have a series of three shots per area of concern. They only allow you 4-6 shots a year and I get shots for my thoracic area, lumbar area, caudal,SI joint and neck. That means I have more places in my body that need shots than I am allowed. So that means I have to figure what hurts the most to get some relief. I have severe osteoarthritis down my whole spinal column as well as spinal stenosis, spondylosis and foramenal narrowing. I could actually keep going but writing this is depressing enough. There are no cures for any of this. Aronia I would love to go to a medical spa for help but a good portion of my problems come from the surgeries I had and the rest of my problems are incurable. As far as the Guinness book goes I don't think so but maybe frequent flyer miles at the surgery center might help in scheduling the shots. Lol. The doc I saw yda was the first pain doc I saw at pain mgt. He does have a way with words. At our very first meeting he told me that my neck and back suck. At least he was honest. He is a good doc so I ignore his dumb comments. He really thinks he is funny. Jc and Bill thank you for caring. Hugggss Jasmine
