Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I'm so sorry you've been thru so much with your back probs, i know hwo painful and nasty they can be. I had a total disk replacement and fusion down at same time in 07. After doing the round of docs etc it turns out all i can really do for exercise is walking around the block and walking in a heated pool. Many here have had different experiences and problems with PT and my latest said from the start that no pain no gain does not apply to me. I can only walk for a few minutes some days so you making it to 20 if fantastic.. Have you ever been to a physiotherapist? i go to one thats part of my pain clinic and he has been great and makes sure i'm not pushing to hard or to fast.
I know a lot on here do pilates and yoga but i have no hope of ever being able to move my bod enough to do anything like that so am now looking into chair exercise dvds someone on here told me about.
I hope your pain is bearable today and you find something that helps you soon.
Good luck
Maddy
