Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
PLEASE be careful tho, because these are not good for the bones. There's a limit on how many you can have in a year, so make sure your doc doesn't give you more than he should.
IF you don't have relief from these, do NOT let him do any more!!! Many doctors will demand that you keep having more and more even if you don't get any relief cause it makes them lots of money!!!! IF you get relief, it should last for weeks or months, but NOT just a few days!
Best of luck and I hope you begin to feel better. God bless. Hugs, Lee
they have done so much damage to me, i actually think and i guess i know they did. plz get more information before you get anymore.
I just had lumbar facet joint injections a week ago yesterday for the pain in my lower back and hips. so far my hips aren't hurting near as much or as often as they did before the injections but my low back pain is slowly creeping back in. I don't like the way the steroids make me feel, irritated, un-nerved, definitely not myself plus I sweat like someone turned on a faucet. I only agreed to have them because my new pain management doc is one of the best in the nation, on the board at Harvard and travels cross country teaching other docs the proper way to perform the epidural, joint injections so I figured if anyone knew what he was doing it was him.
He was very good, I was completely awake during the whole thing and barely felt the injections. I am being much more careful about what I am eating and how often though because I can't in any way afford to gain anymore weight.
good luck and keep us posted on how yours work.
