Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
You are doing a great job with your mum. Take heart in that and I hope your pain eases up for you.
I understand the stress you are under. My mother is not very well herself and we live together. "Having 2 sick people in the same house is really hard on my dad. I am hoping to gain some independence soon. But only time will tell.
i wish you the best of luck and remember to take care of yourself, first and foremost!!
Gentle hugs,
Jenna
Good luck with it all...you are awesome for keeping your head up in hard times...remember its always darkest before the dawn. Keep your friends and family close by, let them help you, thats what they are there for. Take care and let us know how youre doing x
I am so sorry about your mom and your issues. I am so glad though that you have some help. I don't know what kind of help you have but, there are so many programs that are available.
I used to work for one in college.. we would cook, clean, go to the store, take to MD appointments, bathe and the likes---I really loved my job and my services were covere by state medicaid; medicare; private insurance and private pay. It was a great program.
It is also nice if family can come together and help out--giving the primary residence where the parent lives a break a few hours a week.
I can't imagine how you must be feeling but, I can certainly empathize with you. Please find some time for you daily, even a half hour, where you can just really rest.
Meditation, a bath, music, a walk etc whatever works for you... make it your sanctuary and YOUR time for ONLY YOU and YOUR NEEDS. Then, if you can, try and plan some longer periods of time for a few times a month.
Much support to you!
I joined this Feb so we don't know each other, but I do wish you well.
I lost my mom in 1987 (she was only 67 and I was only 27). I wish she was still around and I could care for her, even though it would be a lot to handle. Remember that God only gives us what we can endure.
Best wishes and God bless!
Sandy
lately I am beginning to wonder if that is a lie and the more is when we are supposed have others stepping in to help us!
