Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Anyway, try to have a good day. Finding joy even in pain is hard, but I try to take time to find beauty in every day, at every opportunity. Usually it is through flowers, my dog, a sweet smell or taste. Your senses may cause you pain, but they also let you see red roses, and smell cinnamon, or pet your pet's soft fur. Use these good senses to counter the bad pain. I might sound silly, but it really does help. I play music as much as possible and although I can't be around these new perfumes that are actually made from petroleum byproducts, I do boil a concoction of cinnamon, cloves, allspice and vanilla every day. Then I also sit out daily to enjoy my garden, or gaze at my orchids. My father was an artist, so I walk through and study his paintings. Anything to stimulate other senses helps me ignore my all over daily pain and migraines....although walking is very painful too, I do walk some with my little buddy, Walter....a sweet mini-pin-Chihuahua. Mini-pin-chi I call him. Find joy in spite of pain.
