Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
is there a place you can rest between classes? a friend with a dorm room?
sounds like you'll need some good strategies to take care of yourself. eat well, lots of water and supplements. for me pre-planning can make so much difference.
many wishes for your goal!
I think I'm going to withdraw my app to tutor this semester. It would be an extra 15-19 hours during the week. I only go to school Tues and Thurs, so I have time to rest (somewhat) in between.
i carry an ice chest with several different types of ice packs. i carry as well a little clay pack called thermipaq. heats up in a microwave in less than two minutes and mould to any area. it also comes in a soft pouch with a velcro'd elastic strap like the ices so it can be a hands free application. it helps me lots with just enough to get me through(sometimes). if you get a good little insulated carrier for the ice and have access to a micro-wave at school.....might give you a little bit more help.
good luck

Yes, fibro "flares" like lupus does. It comes and goes, gets worse and better. You can help these flares by getting enough sleep, eating well, and exercising.
I hope this helps!

I know exactly how that feels. In my case my social life consists of Doctors visits and that is about it. But, even taking a shower some days will leave me feeling ill and as if someone beat me with a baseball bat.
I find when this happens the best thing (okay, to be totally honest, the only thing) I can do is try to get comfortable and go to sleep until it passes.
I hope that I have helped in some small way.
