Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I have GERD, so I watch what medication I take. Another good solution will be a Fentanyl patch, you will get the medication through your skin, so the stomach will not be involved at all.
Welcome to the group, and if you ever need to vent, or have questions, we are very happy to help. Take care!
Healing hugs, Marci
I had a gastric bleed from taking prescribed Motrin 800mg for an extended period of time. I take Celebrex daily and have had no problems. I take Prevacid also to deal with the acids in the stomach.
I know that this isn't addressing chronic pain but I'm fairly new to the issue. I'm trying to come off of Suboxone as it didn't work well for me. I have too many break thru pain issues from acute pain and Subs doesn't cover it .
This is an awesome website. Just listen and learn!! :)
I found voltaren gel very helpful for pain. I use it on my lower jaw starting even with my ear along the lower jaw to the other ear and I found this to be very helpful when the pain is at it's worse.
I can also apply it to three other areas up to four times a day.
It still has some side effects but so far it is the best thing I've come across.
You do have to let it dry for about 10-15mins.
Hope you find something that works for you.
Hugs & Prayers,
Mary
