I guess I don't trust modern medicine and especially not when it comes to radical procedures.
Maybe these people can run, but are they painfree? I doubt it.
My question was one born more from personal ethics, would you replace a body part with a man made replacement if the promise of being pain free afterward was guaranteed? I know this is a promise that currently can not be made, that is why it is a hypothetical question.....Kris....
Just don't like the idea of a foreign object replacing my real body.

Interesting question. I will have to check out the site. I know there have been amazing technical advances in this area.
Have you ever seen Doctor Who? There are Cybermen in some of his shows. These Cybermen have a human brain but they have there emotions and other sensations turned off. They live In this metal shell and they all look the same. They can't get sick or feel pain.
