I had cervical spinal stenosis and had a few of these shots...they help with immediate relief but it does wear off in a few days or weeks depending on the person..the shot wasn't bad, they numb out the immediate area and then go in to where the pain or nerve is directly and i was awake for the whole procedure...make sure you ice afterwards....

They have helped me alot, at one point my hands kept going numb and it did take 3 rounds of injections to finely nip it in the butt. But that has lasted me almost "2 years."
But now its time again and Im going in this Thursday for cervical injections. It's not bad at all. they give you something to help you relax, then numb it and thats it. piece of cake... just ice that day. and take your pain meds.
like I said, the last time it helped me for quite a while, heck, I'd be happy if it lasted even 6 months

I had them in my neck a month ago and I actually think they made my head pain worse !

Having just one treatment alone might not help much. Depends on the type of med and injection schedule offered. I feel best with a series of three injections two weeks apart.

The pain doc also injected me directly into the scalp at the top of my neck for headaches. You could see the medication form a lump on my head. Hurt like hell while she did it, but helped tons.

If there is a chance it could reduce it though, I have to try it. What I wouldn't give to have some pain free days

I had the cervical facets and an epidural. Neither one did an ioda for me. I know your agony, mine is so severe tonight that I am fantisising about injecting something that WILL work next time lol.

I had the facet injections as well, and they did nothing for me at all. I've gone through epidurals, ablations and facet injections, plus two surgeries and I am still in terrible pain. I do hope it works for you, everyone is different, so just because it did not work for me doesn't mean that it won't work for you.
