What is your pain doctor giving you?

Midrid is a migraine medication with two meds, one for the headache the other for tension in the neck. The best relief I have found short of robaxin and Valium every 6 hours.

The med will make you to tired and you shouldn't ever drive on the med, but it may be what you need. After 8 surgeries time to think outside the box.

Hi, I was told i had cervical dystonia once. but then i got an mri done, and the found the spinal stenosis and disc bulge in my neck. I had surgery for it, and it failed to relieve my pain. so i am left not knowing if i do or don't have the dystonia. i have poor posture because of the pain. and i cant keep my neck and head straight, it's always forward. but i do not have the jerky movements or spasms. I also tried botox, and it didn't work for me. I use heat and ice, a long lasting pain med called Hydromorphone Contin, and i use Oxycocet for the breakthrough pain. However, i have just reached a tolerance to this level of the meds, so i am going to ask my pain dr for a slight bump up in strength. I have also had nerve blocks done, and I am going to have a rhizotomy done sometime in january. Try asking your pain dr for a stronger pain medicine. Take care!

You know, I have a very, very close friend that has Cervical Torticolis or Dystonia and he gets botox injections, plus a muscle relaxant, he also goes to PT and now he is doing much better, his head is not as tilted anymore, for pain he gets Dilaudid 4 Mg's every 4 hours. I think that you need to find yourself a new Doctor, one that specializes in Cervical torticolis and that is up in the new treatments. Good luck and I hope that you get the help that you need. I know, doctors are being overly cautious lately. I guess maybe a long talk with your pain doctor would be in order now. Let them know your not getting any relief at all.
