Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
i hope you don't have to go, but please do if you aren't getting better.
you are such a supporter, please don't feel bad for not taking care of all of us. we're a group. i do miss your wonderful sense of humor. so i just want you to be well.
i have to get going, but i'll check in by phone.
love and hugs to you, dear jan
No worries my friend! In case you hadn't noticed, you are not the only one who doesn't throw it all out there and uses humor and silliness to cover and cope!
So cut yourself some slack! We here all understand, and no one is going to take it personally if you are quiet. You will be here when you can and you will be talkative when you can. We get it!
I understand on your Mom, and yes that is ironic, worries me though for you to say you are ready to go to the hospital because I know how much you hate it and how hard you have fought to stay at home. If you feel you need to go, THEN YOU NEED TO GO!
Your Mom would not want you to hurt yourself, and if you did, that would just be even more stress for her.....SO......GO!
I love you. I am praying, sending healing thoughts, hugs, love, peace, and comfort.
Now go tell your DH that you need to go!

5 minutes or 50 minutes. It's all good as long as you don't burn yourself out in trying to be everything for everyone. The world is really a nice place for having you in it.
Angela
For you to say you are ready to go to the hospital as much as you hate them, I think it might be in your best interest to GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!!! You said it yourself that you are willing to get the help to get better.
We love you and want you to get better. And we totally understand why you use humor to navigate your way through the boards and life. I can do the same thing at times!
I just want you to get well. We want you to get well. I know your mom would want you to get well! Im sure she is already stressed about your condition as it is, she may feel relief if you go to the hospital to get treatment. Just my opinion though.
Gentle hugs,
Jenna
I don't know what all is going on with you medically (and I don't have to). You are in my prayers for restored health.
Hugs,
Cindy
Just the act of helping another makes us feel good, so don't be selfish in feeling guilty! lol
I'm glad you have decided to go to the hospital....I think you will be able to get well much faster that way and be back here in not time.
Hugs, love and speedy recovery.
I just hope you can love yourself enough to do what you need to do to take care of yourself.
Hugs and Love,
Ama
Much love, many prayers....and lots a love!!!!!!
Deb
As part of my great just fake it 'til Mom leaves tomorrow plan...
I took extra (allowed by the script) prednisone...just as kind-of a shot in the dark.....and it does seem to be helping my breathing quite a bit.
Thanks, everyone for your support.....huhs....jc..
Please my friend, go to the hospital... when Mom leaves and I totally understand the "Family Mask" thing..
Sending healing Hugs n vibes... it's time to let someone look after you for a change.... luv ya x
So...let me get this straightt...you put on a bigger bandage to buy yourself a little more time? Are you afraid your Mom might want to stay longer to be of help to you if she new just how sick you're feeling? Well...I guess I understand that part since I'd rather cuddle with my dogs than have my Mom hovering.
Now, stop trying to be everything to everybody on DS. That's too much pressure...even for a normal! There's a reason why this is called a 'group'!
Tough love here...get your ass to the hospital!
Big hugs...
Cherry
I also wanted to reference the post about being human that we see on here occasionally. It states that sometimes we laugh and joke, but that does not mean we are not hurting or are magically better. It just means we are happy in the moment or love to joke around. It doesn't take away our daily struggles. We must remember to live by the things we want the "normals" to understand and understand those same things of each other.
