Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
If your Doctor does not listen, or if he is not a pain management Doctor, is time to either find a new Doctor or get one that ONLY does pain management. This will be the only way that your pain would be controlled. Take care and if you get worst during the weekend, go to an Urgent care facility and see if they can give you something that is extended release until you can get to your Doctor on Monday.

I agree with Tipper. You need a "long-acting schedule II opioid." You are woefully under-medicated! You need to start interviewing new pain management docs NOW! You will only get this type of med from a pain management doc, not a PCP. Many formulations work for 8-hrs (Dilaudid), 12-hrs (Opana ER, Oramorph) or even 24-hrs (Avinza, methadone.) I see that you are only 21. That is a big part of the problem. Additionally, be quiet about having family and friends who are addicts! You psychiatric issues will be yet another strike against you. If they are well-documented, disclose them. If not, shush about that too. Many docs think that our pain is "psychological." They may assume that you are too mentally unstable for the real stuff. Please keep a pain journal and try to keep emotion out of it during your visits to the pain doc. Good luck and keep us posted. We care.
Here are two websites were you can find a good PM Doc;
www.raceagainstpain.com and www.doctorsforpain.com.
If things are these bad and they are not taking care of you, you need to act, you need to fired their arses and find one Doctor that will give a damn! If they do not call you back by tomorrow, I will show up at their office! And in the meantime, start looking for a good Doc.
Good luck and take care,
Tipper
